Yes, wise
That's how my Aunt Marilyn & Uncle Wayne do it❤
One time when I was in elementary school ,, a kid who I didn’t get along with knocked down a fort I built in the gym and it angered me SO MUCH to the point where I didn’t even care if those 3 words slipped out of my mouth. My face got so red and I screamed them to him, and my teacher was gravely disappointed in me, because enforced a rule that those words shouldn’t ever be said in the classroom. Maybe I should discuss it with a therapist because I don’t feel ashamed. Moral of the story: I have said those words and I don’t want to feel happy that I said them.
Oh my gosh - sooo good. Bianca always has a thoughtful (and often hilarious), way of looking at things - Bible-oriented and otherwise!!! 😂🎉✝️
But don't feel guilty if you say no. When people don't have it to give they should not be made to feel bad for not giving.
34:35 Thank you for putting into words what I’ve been struggling to figure out about myself. I resort to repressing which of course leads to just a horrible situation. But I feel shame that I can’t control my feelings and my husband doesn’t have these struggles that I do. I feel so much guilt and I feel so much like a burden. Part of me argues that falling down the hole is better than having to face that and fearing that my husband judges me for being weak (he doesn’t, but it’s hard to not resort to feeling like he does).
Again, not a revolutionary thing.
Lol .... this is not revolutionary.
Absolutely 💯 my hubby didn't go to church with me regularly. But, I went every Sunday. I would ask time and time again. I finally stopped ask8ng. But, I kept praying for him. 1 Sunday as I was walking out the door he asked me why I didn't ask him to go anymore. I told him, "you are a big boy. If you want to go that's great! I'm just tired of you saying no." He told me wanted to go. I sat on the couch and waited for him. He got up and got dressed and not only started going to church every Sunday, he was baptized, he was made a Decon, and took over the Financials at church. 1 year later he was killed by a drunk drugged driver wanting to commit suicide. I KNOW I'll see him again 1 day. So ladies or men keep shining God's light and set that example.
I can’t stand people reading posts and making it their own story and thinking no one will notice, haha. Credit the original post you read that exact realisation from.
I’ve lost all hope in this world. It’s just a joke.
Nor should your spouse ever tell you to go kill yourself or that they are going to kill you. I believe in forgiveness and reconciliation, but I'm now praying God helps me to get OUT!!!! Things are so great now, but oh how fast it can change.
❤
Through God all things are possible to be repaired, even in marriage. What man thinks is not repairable... God will tell you otherwise. Just think of all the marriages that have made it through hell and back that you don't know about... those stories are to be told in God's perfect timing and can bring hope and healing to others.
I hope that you have a nice rest. May God bless you with a time of peace and rest. I love your podcast. God bless you and your family. Duane
Why would you say the very words he said would end things. Thats just cruel and malicious. You don’t know why those words hurt him so much that he stated they’re a deal breaker and then you go and say them. Dumb.
I love this! My dad has always been in my life but we have struggled for most of it. There has been things he has said to me and others than has hurt and Iv put up many many walls as a result. I’m in counseling to help me process and understand and rewire my brain to bring my confidence back. I love him but am working toward forgiveness every day. I know at some point I will need to confront him and tell me I forgive him (he is just doing what he was taught by his father). This message gives me hope!
I wish I would have had a chance to write my father a letter . Even if it didn’t change anything .
Give without carring thier burden. Everyone's to help but not carry someone's else's burden.
We got married at 22, married 38 years, four kids and four grandkids😊
Beautiful! 🙏🏼✝️💖
Love this. My dad passed away unexpectedly last Christmas and i had a letter written to him that i never got a chance to show him and today this i still wonder if my relationship with him would have changed before he died if i would have read him that letter. Some days that brings me such hurt but other days i rejoice that he’s in heaven with Jesus and whatever was in that letter Jesus gives me comfort and peace.
Married at 19, for 35 years now. Just about to listen
Luke 6:34-38 And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you?
Amen. 🙏🏻 My husband and I decided this along time ago as well. After getting burnt a few times, we decided the exact same thing no matter if they asked, or if we just felt led, it would be a gift. Through prayer God reminded us that the borrower is slave to the lender and it changes relationships.
No thanks😅😅
That so treu
You're both fantastic! Relatable... Very informative and insightful. Gives others hope!
I, too, got married at 19, and my husband was 20. Four children and 22 years later, he decided to leave and eventually married someone else. It was devastating, BUT...then God stepped in. As sad and horrible as it all was, the Lord did bring my second husband into our lives, and life has never been sweeter. God is so good, especially when it feels as if everything is crumbling. Getting married young can be great... or not, but God will work it all out for the best either way. God is in the business of mending broken hearts 💕 . I am eternally grateful 🙏
I just watched unsung hero. It was so good.

When is season seven coming out?? I’m so excited for it!!?!
The best advice about money I ever got was that you never "lend" people money with the expectation that you'll be paid back... And I never have...
Amen giving without strings attached is the right kind of way to do it. I believe there’s a verse in the Bible that says don’t let the right hand know what the left hand is doing and it’s concerning giving.
My husband and I have always said divorce is not an option we will always bring it back to the table and figure it out.
Love your transparency ❤❤
I felt that way once, too! I wish I had handled things much differently than I did. Ultimately, my husband and I reconciled, but we went through so much more agony than we would have.
💖💖🙏🙏😇
I do the same. I started out not wanting to be mad at friends so I would give them something if I had it. It's very freeing. But a co-worker would ask to borrow money from me from time to time and would always pay me back. I held her to her word. She took 8 months to pay me back $300 and that was the end of her ever asking tomorrow morning. I'm not friends with her Just coworkers. I'm not a bank. Im a one income household. But if a friend needs something I will do my best to help them.
You have to really dive deep into the reason WHY you used those words . It’s not just about forgiveness. It’s about understanding.
I agree with this. The biggest thing is learning to say No when they continue to come back. I unfortunately did not know how to say No. I was out Thousands of dollars. This person no longer speaks to me because I was only as good as the money I could put in her pocket.
❤❤
❤😊👍
Have a great vacation!
Just a big Giant Duh. You just came to this realization? How much therapy did it take? You poor soul.
If they have no intention of paying it back and say they are borrowing, are they friends? You can see certain people choose to spend their time & money foolishly and then "borrow" from " friends".
I got married @ 18 … Husband was … 19 Unfortunately after 40+ years of marriage, he chose alcohol. It’s been really hard. Almost 5 years of being without a mate, boyfriend, date 👀 God bless y’all. Marriage takes work on both sides 💯🙏🏽
My mom and dad were married almost 25 years before my dad died young. They had a great marriage. There were 5 of us kids. 2 boys, twin girls, then another boy. My oldest brother was a sadist and sa my sister and I along with physical abuse. My mom and dad were pretty wrapped up with his long illness so they couldn’t deal with him. They sent him away to a boys home but got no help for us kids. I’ve had a lifetime of relieving the trauma. My marriage failed and I still don’t know how to love myself.
Candace lives in a delusional world
It can never be unsaid.
